I forgot this was happening, and now it has a trailer. I wonder if they’ll still use that Moby song during the credits.
It’s pretty cool how I’ve suddenly grown to love Diablo Cody. Her Red Band Trailer series is excellent, the Young Adult trailer was perfect, and its new :30 clip on Apple Trailers made me laugh out loud. Twice.
Oh, and I’m about to launch a Kickstarter to buy Charlize’s friendship.
- I think we went to high school together.
- At the same time?
Hi I don’t know who I am this morning because I just watched the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsmen and I’m ready to PITCH A TENT IN FRONT OF REGAL UNION SQUARE, Y’ALL IT LOOKS GOOD.
I was also a fan of Mark’s response:
Okay, the Snow White and the Huntsman trailer is kicking my ass. It’s like Madonna’s “Frozen” video became an entire movie.
My heart is definitely open.
The trailer for the Diablo Cody-penned/Jason Reitman-directed Young Adult finally dropped. This is my favorite frame.
The trailer for Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar. It looks like every other Clint Eastwood film of the 21st century: expensive, desaturated, sloppily assembled, and starring a man in a Leonardo Dicaprio mask that was flattened by a steamroller.
Also, Judi Dench?
“I like the animals, but I love the humans.”
The trailer for Cameron Crowe’s We Bought a Zoo is so bad it’s Elizabethtown.
I’m very excited to see Higher Ground tomorrow night, but still have no idea what this means. Vera Farmiga is our generation’s Meryl Streep? How many accents can she do? She did a Boston one in The Departed, I guess, but until Ms. Farmiga gets her own A Cry in the Dark, we should hold off on the comparisons.

This is one of the best trailers of the year and also one of the best uses of the score to The Life of David Gale in, like, a long long time.
In which Camilla Belle is 40, Heather Graham exists, Johnny Knoxville looks like he walked out of Wise Blood, Craig Robinson for some reason whatever, Virginia Madsen does something terrible to her face, and someone at the office asks me, “Bobby, who is Kevin Spacey’s wife?”
The trailer for Weekend will give you feelings. Then “I Don’t Want Love” by The Antlers will start playing and it will give you an anthology of feelings.
I saw the trailer for The Ides of March in theatres this weekend and was shocked by the number of cymbal transitions it used, so of course I edited it down to 30 seconds of cymbal transitions.
This is The Cymbals of the Ides of March Trailer, directed by Oscar® winner George Clooney and starring Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling and Oscar® winner Cymbal Transitions.
