Surprise! Savages wasn’t a terrible movie - it was just a mediocre movie. Messy, but mediocre. Aaron Johnson? Fine. Taylor Kitsch? Fine. Even Blake Lively was fine. The only remotely special thing about Savages was Salma Hayek as Elena, one of my favorite screen villains in quite some time. She’s hilarious, terrifying, and absolutely hypnotic - especially during the dinner scene GIF’d above. As Steven said during the movie, “nothing is sexier than watching Salma Hayek eat a lamb chop.”
See it? Like, actually see it? It’s worth it?
Also, she deserves an MTV Movie Award for BEST WIG.
