¡chill breeze!
Coupon in hand, I walked out of my office building this afternoon to grab a $2 Frappuccino. As I stepped out onto the street, I felt a breeze that contained no moisture. No humidity. It was 0% hell. 100% dry air. For the first time in months, no part of me wanted to throw the sun any shade. No sweat gland felt like powering on. I looked up and saw this beautiful sky with some beautiful buildings in front of it and realized that the summer is finally – slowly – coming to an end.
I can’t wait to start layering again.
To drink hot coffee in the middle of the afternoon.
To hold someone’s hand with gloves on.
To watch all the movies with Oscar buzz.
To hate all the movies with Oscar buzz.
To buy a ticket home for Christmas and complain about the price.
To look at the snow with my Texan eyes, tilt my head slightly and say, “I don’t understand you, but I respect you.”
