I’m completely in love with this St. Lucia EP and wouldn’t know of its existence were I not a follower of Annicka’s. I’ve met her in person once, but that evening (for reasons I will not get into as I like to keep my blog devoid of anything more personal than my karaoke selections) is a bit of a blur. For all intents and purposes we only know one another online. I’m aware that her name is pronounced ANNICKA (ANN like “ON switch,” NICK like the name, and A like “UH”) and not ANNICKA (ANNICKA like Nicki Minaj’s given name ONIKA), but last night I had a lengthy dream in which I begged a friend to listen to the St. Lucia EP. “ANNICKA BLOGGED ABOUT IT,” I said. “YOU’RE PRONOUNCING IT WRONG,” this anonymous person replied. “IT’S ONIKA. LIKE MINAJ.” This dream argument went on longer than it had any business to. What the hell is my problem?
